Sometimes clearing your browser’s cache can help fix loading issues or display errors. The cache stores website data so pages load faster on your next visit.
If content changes (for example, after an update), your browser might still show old data. Here’s how you can clear the cache in the most common browsers:
Google Chrome
-
Open Chrome.
-
Click the three dots in the top right corner (menu).
-
Go to More tools > Clear browsing data.
-
Under the Basic tab, choose the time range (e.g., “All time”).
-
Check Cached images and files.
-
Click Clear data.
Mozilla Firefox
-
Open Firefox.
-
Click the three lines in the top right corner (menu).
-
Go to Settings > Privacy & Security.
-
Scroll down to Cookies and Site Data.
-
Click Clear Data….
-
Check Cached Web Content.
-
Confirm with Clear.
Microsoft Edge
-
Open Edge.
-
Click the three dots in the top right corner (menu).
-
Go to Settings > Privacy, search, and services.
-
Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.
-
Select the time range (e.g., “All time”).
-
Check Cached images and files.
-
Click Clear now.
Safari (Mac)
-
Open Safari.
-
In the top menu bar, click Safari > Preferences.
-
Go to the Advanced tab and enable Show Develop menu in menu bar at the bottom.
-
A new Develop option will appear in the top menu.
-
Click Develop > Empty Caches.
Tip: If you don’t want to remove all your browsing data, make sure to select only the cache. You can leave cookies and saved passwords untouched.
👉 After clearing your cache, refresh the page (best with Ctrl + F5 or Cmd + Shift + R on Mac) to make sure all content loads updated.
