How does a project typically work?

Once you have created a project with Airteam, there are two different ways in which the project can be carried out. Here you will find an example of a self-piloted project and a project flown by Airteam pilots:

I fly myself:

If you fly your own drone yourself, projects run as follows:

Create project

You always start a project by creating it on the Airteam Fusion platform. You can find detailed instructions on creating projects in the article How do I create a project?

Carry out the flight

Once you have successfully created the project and selected your planning data, you can plan the drone flight directly. We also provide you with an individual flight plan for each project, which serves as an aid for the flight.

You can find all the information about the flights in our drone pilot guides. It also describes exactly what data we need for optimal processing.

Upload data

Once you have recorded the data, you can upload the data directly to your project. There are two categories for uploading data in your projects on the Airteam Fusion platform: Aesthetic images & Technical images. (The aesthetic category is omitted for Fast Fusion projects). Once the images have been successfully uploaded, Airteam automatically starts processing the data.

Receive data

Depending on the data requested, you will receive your planning data within 24 hours to 5 days. As soon as the data is available, you will receive an e-mail from us with the relevant information. The planning data will then be available for you to download (apart from the Fast Fusion models) and for further processing.

Airteam hires a professional pilot:

When you hire a pilot from the Airteam network, projects run as follows:

Create project

You always start a project by creating it on the Airteam Fusion platform. You can find detailed instructions on creating projects in the article How do I create a project?

Obtain a declaration of consent from the landowner.

As soon as the project has been created and we have checked the flying area, you will receive an e-mail with a document that must be completed by the owner of the property. This document assures our pilot in writing that he is allowed to fly over the property and has the owner's permission. We will also check any other necessary permits in this step.

Flight & data upload

As soon as the flight can be carried out, our pilot will implement it as quickly as possible. You are welcome to be present during the flight. Please indicate this wish in the “Comments” field when creating the project. Of course, you can decide for yourself whether or not you would like to take part in the flight. After the flight, the pilot will upload the data to our Airteam Fusion platform. Immediately afterwards, Airteam will start processing the data.
